Abstract
Pulsed flow in an elastic tube through two rigid water filled chambers separated by an elastic membrane was studied. The device simulates a main blood vessel traversing the diaphragm from the chest to the abdomen and subjected to sequential compressions of the abdomen and chest as is the case in phased compression cardiopulmonary resuscitation (PCCPR).
