Dimethylaluminum Methylselenolate: A Remarkable Reagent for the Preparation of Active Acyl-Transfer Agents

Abstract

The preparation of a new aluminum reagent, dimethylaluminum methylselenolate (1), has been achieved. This reagent has been shown to react with a variety of O-alkyl esters to provide methylselenol esters, active acyl-transfer agents, in excellent yield.
