Abstract

Infants who experience prolonged or repeated hospitalization are at risk for developmental delays. Federal mandates for early intervention include the initiation of developmental intervention during hospitalization. Developmental Rounds is a creative strategy to address the unique needs of high risk infants and their families and to promote continuity of care and community referrals for developmental intervention.
