Abstract
Delta tibial external fixation frames were constructed with angular pin separation of 30 degree , 45 degree , 60 degree , and 90 degree . To study the rigidity of these frames, each was subjected to four types of tests. From each test a stiffness coefficient was calculated and used as a basis for comparing the stiffness of the various frames. The results indicate that the frames should be constructed with angular pin separation of 60 degree and 90 degree . This also will provide large access area for wound repair and treatment.
