Delayed distension of contracted airways with lung inflation in vivo β

Abstract

A study was conducted to determine how well the matched dynamics of response is of airways to that of the lung parenchyma. It was found that airways contracted with methacholine dilate about 4 times slower than the lung parenchyma during rapid lung.
