Abstract
With the exception of appendicitis, diseases of appendix are uncommon : mucocele, goblet cell carcinoid tumor, lymphoma, metastatic carcinoma, etc. They tend to be diagnosed as appendicitis and, after appendectomy, discovered incidentally. Detection of these uncommon diseases at preoperative imaging may change the surgical approach and obviate additional surgery. This article illustrates some features of CT findings that can be a help of diagnosing them.
