Abstract

We evaluated the CT findings of four cases of gallbladder torsion. It was found that the characteristic CT findings of gallbladder torsion were (1) swelling of the gallbladder, (2) wall thickening of the gallbladder, and (3) deviation or abnormal positioning of the gallbladder. Additionally, MDCT could demonstrate the beak-like neck of the gallbladder and twisted pedicle of the cystic duct, which were definitive findings of gallbladder torsion.
