Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Systemic inflammatory syndromes can involve the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems in a variety of ways. Here, the updated diagnostic criteria and the neurologic manifestations of connective tissue disorders and the most common vasculitides are discussed in addition to a review of the inflammatory myopathies. Throughout the chapter, key differential diagnoses and treatments are highlighted to guide clinicians in managing patients with systemic inflammatory syndromes presenting with neurologic manifestations.
