Abstract

Barrett esophagus, especially dysplastic Barrett mucosa, has been regarded as a preneoplastic lesion for esophageal adenocarcinoma. However, the etiology and pathogenesis of dysplasia and early adenocarcinoma in short- (SSBE) and long- (LSBE) segment Barrett esophagus have not been studied in detail.
