Abstract

Additional chromatographic forms of phenylalanine tRNA appear in Escherichia coli incubated with chloramphenicol. The kinetics of change in the level of these forms is examined during the period of recovery from this treatment. The results are consistent with a model relating all of the forms by a simple conversion pathway.
