Bacteriologic basis of short-course chemotherapy for tuberculosis

Abstract

The aim of this article is to review the biological data now available for the best use of antibacterial drugs in chemotherapy for tuberculosis in man. Consideration will be given only to pulmonary tuberculosis, but the data could be extended to extrapulmonary forms of the disease without great changes.
