N2 - Fibroblast cells derived from 6 Ataxia lines were compared with normal cells in their ability to rejoin single-strand DNA breaks caused by ionizing radiation. In a newly developed enzymatic assay, the Ataxia cells show extensive ligation of the breaks within 90 min of repair incubation.
