Abstract
I. Neglected notes. A misplaced key. A teapot whistling tunelessly. She sits there quite unruffled. II. Her history is now complete. Three shifts a day to keep her neat. She shambles through the shambles. III. Fever, feeble cough, contractures. Bed sores slow times manufacture. She's only mortal coil now. Pneumonia, then. Is treatment right? The family split. It's late at night. Nature morte. And yet still life.
