N2 - We describe a novel Pediatric Vision Screener (PVS) that employs wave-plateenhanced retinal birefringence scanning for strabismus detection, essentially independent of an eye's corneal birefringence, and double-pass focus detection using a bull's eye photodetector, with an improved target system. The performance of the novel PVS is demonstrated in adult volunteers.
