Abstract
A computerized system for computation of artificial nutritional programs was developed on a Professional 350 personal computer (Digital Equipment). This software was designed to monitor calories, fluids and electrolytes administered and their outputs. It constitutes a flexible and detailed way of planning qualitative and quantitative nutritional support. Its configuration permits easy handling even by non-trained physicians and nursing staff, and the equipment is compact enough for bedside use.
