Abstract
We report a case of syphilitic aortitis suspected by the intraoperative appearance of the aorta. Diagnosis was confirmed by postoperative serological testing. Given the recent increase in the number of cases of primary syphilis, it is important to remain aware of the clinical and pathological manifestations of tertiary syphilis.
